Thanks Tommy for all your friendship and always supporting 'A Glove Of Their Own'
Tommy John. Pitching an amazing 26 seasons, he is 26th on the Major League Baseball all-time winningest pitchers list, (7th highest among left-handers), with 288 wins. He has three 20-game win seasons, 46 shutouts, 2,245 strikeouts, 3 World Series appearances (1977, 1978, 1981), and 4 All-Star games. To amass these outstanding statistics, Tommy had to overcome a career-ending ligament tear to his pitching arm. Courageously undergoing a first-ever operation that has gone on to become known as “Tommy John surgery,” and through commitment to follow-up rehabilitation, Tommy John came back to win 164 games after his surgery (one fewer than the all-time great Sandy Koufax won in his entire career!). Tommy’s presentation on dedication, belief in oneself, and commitment to excellence is amazing. Thanks Tommy for supporting the B.E.S.T. foundation.
